There aren’t many things better than capturing love. It’s why I adore my job so much. So when I get the opportunity to capture long-time anniversary love, I can’t help but look forward to it. June 9th marked the 30th anniversary of their trials, and of their triumphs. It marked the 30th anniversary of all their adventures. It marked the 30th anniversary of their never-failing love.
Uncle Ron and Aunt Lisa, happy happy HAPPY anniversary!! You exude a level of relationship so many young people these days can’t even afford to comprehend. Thank you for being such a solid rock together, even at the worst of times, and making a neverending relationship the hottest thing since…well…since Nanny’s Taco Pizza!! 🙂

I’m happy to introduce Mollie and Matt, a fabulous couple who clearly love each other like woah. A quiet and thoughtful man, Matt continued to make Mollie swoon throughout this session, giving her sweet kisses. Mollie, responding as anyone who is in love responds, melted into his arms each time. It.was.awesome. Lots of giggles and quiet murmurs between these two were proof they are in their own little world of eternal love. Here are my favorites from their engagement session…

She’s ridiculously witty and has a tendency to roll up her shirt and smear lotion on her growing belly on a whim. Sheri is going to be such an incredible mom. To say this a moment she has been looking forward to for at least a year is an understatement…they deserve this. And God knows He brought a new life into her life at the perfect moment.

all new possibilities
It’s been an interesting ride, building a relationship with a completely new camera. My now retired camera, a Sony DSC-H7, was my buddy. We hung out a lot, and she always pulled through with creating a beautiful shot my eye had found. We had an understanding.
With this new camera, it’s like I’m starting over. It’s like I had a break-up from a really serious relationship and am now trying to move on with someone new. A better person, a more experienced person, a more intelligent person…an all-around better man camera…wait…what am I talking about?? Where am I going with this?
It’s new territory, and I’m still getting used to the new relationship. I’m going to make mistakes, and I’m going to learn things about myself and others I have never known. Regardless of the hard times, I’m going to enjoy the journey…
…and this is where we begin…

In light of the photography gigs I have been getting, I felt it an appropriate time to update my camera equipment. For those of you (all five of you) who follow this blog, you are all aware I carry a Sony DSC-H7. This camera has been through fire with me in the past year and half I have owned it…while it will become my secondary camera…it will be difficult saying goodbye.
