the davis family
I met Jill through Christy and Jason’s amazing October wedding where she was makeup artiste (pronounced ar-teest) to Christy. Jill is a bigwig in the Mary Kay business (check her website out here) and is so fantastic to be around. She and her husband are sticky sweet in love and her boys Kobe and Koen are ADORABLE and it was such a pleasure to enjoy their company one beautiful fall afternoon.
Jill thank you for allowing me to have fun with your kids and spend time with your beautiful family. Climbing trees with Kobe and digging into sand with Koen was THE MOST! 🙂
View the Davis family’s entire session here.
The oldest Kobe was eager to get in front of the camera, and I loved that! He was such a handsome little man!
Koen and Kobe showing brotherly love. Look at those smiles!
So this is where the boys got their good looks! 🙂
The Davis’ had a great back yard so we took advantage of their swingset and sandbox for some pictures of the boys doing what they do best – having fun!!
Full family portraits are great, but it’s nice to break up the family and do mini-group shots. It allows each of the smaller groups to showcase the kind of relationship they have with each other, and really makes for unique memory captures within a larger family session.
It took awhile, but I was finally able to catch up with Koen and grab some fun shots of him playing amongst the trees. I always tell people that no shutter speed can keep up with a toddler, and this little guy almost proved it!
While the boys were playing around, I snagged Jill away for a few headshots for her website. There’s nothing better than an updated photo to help sell your business!
After spending some time outdoors, we headed inside to grab some shots of the family spending time relaxed in their own home.
Corey is a Kansas State Trooper, so it was only right that we let the boys have fun in the car and snap a few shots…definitely the icing on the not-so-sweet cake of picture taking for Kobe and Koen!
